The Labour Party (LP) in Ukwa East Local Government Area has formally presented its candidate for the Ukwa East and West Federal Constituency, Engr. Adinigwe Nwoke, to party faithful and stakeholders, reaffirms its commitment to securing victory for all Labour Party candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The presentation took place during an enlarged general meeting of the Labour Party, Ukwa East Chapter, held at the party secretariat. The event drew party leaders, elected officials, and supporters from across the local government area.

Among the dignitaries in attendance were the Mayor of Ukwa East Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Chibunna Akara; the member representing Ukwa East State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Lewis Obianyi; the member representing Ukwa West State Constituency, Hon. Godwin Adiele; Labour Party Ukwa West House of Assembly Candidate, Surv. Joshua Ahukanna, the Labour Party State Financial Secretary, Hon. Elvis Wabara; and other party stakeholders.

Speaking during the meeting, the Chairman of the Labour Party in Ukwa East, Chief Moses Okpoko, formally introduced Engr. Adinigwe Nwoke as the party’s flagbearer for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency and Hon. Lewis Obianyi as the party’s candidate for the Ukwa East State Constituency.

Addressing party members, Engr. Nwoke expressed gratitude to the Governor of Abia State, the Labour Party leadership, and party faithful in Ukwa East for their continued support and confidence in his candidacy. He pledged to work tirelessly for the development of Ukwa land and to ensure that the people enjoy the full benefits of democratic governance if elected.

“I remain committed to the progress and welfare of our people. Together, we will build a stronger and more prosperous Ukwa land,” he said.

Also speaking, the Mayor of Ukwa East, Hon. Pastor Chibunna Akara, reaffirmed the determination of the people of the area to stand firmly behind the Labour Party ahead of the 2027 polls. He declared that Ukwa East was prepared to deliver a “4/4 victory” for the party and urged members to remain united, focused, and committed to the collective goal of electoral success.

The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of optimism and solidarity among party members, as leaders and supporters pledged to mobilize grassroots support for Labour Party candidates across all elective positions in the 2027 general elections.

The gathering underscored the party’s growing confidence and strategic preparations as it seeks to consolidate its influence and strengthen its electoral prospects in Ukwa East and beyond.
