While his opponents strain to manufacture flaws out of thin air, Chief Barr. Samuel Okezie Nwogu’s public service record stands as a visible, verifiable blueprint of excellence. His tenure as the pioneer Chairman of the Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC), and his service as Abia State’s representative on the governing board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), are not campaign talking points, they are historical markers of proven capacity. Unlike his critics, whose loudest achievements exist only in social media posts, his legacy is written into the concrete development of communities across the state.
At the helm of ASOPADEC, even amid lean financial periods, Chief Nwogu delivered community-centred infrastructure, prioritized grassroots youth employment, and drove educational support programmes designed to lift families out of poverty, Women empowerment, employment opportunities, etc.
His strategic input on the NDDC board further ensured that Abia State, and in particular the oil-producing enclaves of Ukwa was not left out of critical regional intervention policies.
Where lesser leaders would have treated public office as an avenue for personal enrichment, Chief Nwogu treated it as what it truly is: a sacred trust held in service of the people.
This depth of institutional experience is what sets Chief Nwogu decisively apart from his detractors. He is a tested quantity who already understands the operational terrain of federal ministries, development commissions, and budgetary allocations — terrain that a newcomer would need years merely to map.
He will not spend his first term in the National Assembly learning how government bureaucracy works; he will hit the ground running from day one, positioned to attract substantial federal projects to Ukwa East and Ukwa West.
Beyond the boardrooms and commissions, Chief Samuel Okezie Nwogu remains, at his core, a grassroots leader. His journey through community, local government, and state-level leadership has given him an intimate understanding of the peculiarities and aspirations of his people, an understanding no résumé alone can convey, and one his opponents simply do not have.
Chief Samuel Nwogu is the best man for the job.
