Hon. Sam Nwogu has officially picked up his Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination form as the duly elected candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
Nwogu collected the nomination form at the APC State Secretariat on Saturday, accompanied by party leaders, stakeholders, and a large number of supporters, in a move that signals the formal commencement of his participation in the electoral process.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, the APC flagbearer described the milestone as a demonstration of his readiness to offer purposeful and effective representation to the people of Ukwa East and Ukwa West.
According to him, his ambition is driven by a desire to advance the interests of the constituency and ensure that the people enjoy the dividends of democracy.
“This is not about me. It is about giving Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency a strong voice at the National Assembly,” Nwogu said. “With your support, we will focus on infrastructure, agriculture, job creation, and improved healthcare.”
Also speaking, the APC National Welfare Officer, Chief Hon. Donatus Nwankpa, congratulated Nwogu on obtaining the nomination form and called on party faithful to remain united and mobilize support to secure victory at the polls.
Hon. Nwogu emerged as the APC candidate for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency following the party’s primary election held earlier this month. His collection of the INEC nomination form marks another key step toward the forthcoming general election.
