In a groundbreaking move that has sent shockwaves through Ukwa, Honourable Adinigwe Ugochukwu Nwoke, a formidable former candidate for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2023 general election, has decisively collapsed his political structure “Asa Patriots” to bolster the leadership of Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR. This bold decision manifests a clear show of solidarity and a commitment to quality representation for the people of Abia.
Adinigwe stated unequivocally that Governor Otti has rightfully earned his respect through his impactful “Ekwu Eme” projects and substantial urban and rural road developments throughout the state. He stated that his transition to the Labour Party is not merely a strategic shift but a strategic alliance forged to champion good governance and fortify the Ukwa political bloc for assured success in 2027.
“Governor Otti is a transformative leader whose dedication to delivering democratic dividends to the people of Abia compels my unwavering support. Together, we will enhance the “Abia Arise” initiative to propel progress and growth for the Ukwa community. Wherever the Governor leads, I will be there, as he has truly captured the hearts of every Abian,” he asserted.
In his assertive remarks, Adinigwe called for a unified effort to rally behind the accomplished governor to ensure that Abia emerged among the developed states of the Federation. “Let all rally round the governor to ensure his victory in 2027 to consolidate the unprecedented massive development in Abia.”
He noted the multitude of accomplished and ongoing projects within the Ukwa region, which include the Abia Innovative Industrial Park, (AIIP), the reconstruction of Obehie-Umudobi-Owaza road, the revitalisation of Ogwe Golden Chicken, the expansion of Enyimba Hotel Aba to position Azumini Blue River as a prime tourist spot, and the Asa Development Union Civic Hall project.
“I am joining the Labour Party to stand firmly with our innovative, bridge-building, and results-driven Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti. As I make this transition alongside my loyal supporters, we are not just joining a party; we are uniting to create a formidable force for positive change,” he declared.
