
The Asa Liberation Movement (ALM), a foremost political pressure group, successfully held its End-of-Year General Meeting and Get-Together on Monday, 22nd December 2025, at the residence of its President, Hon. Emeka Adiele, in Umuajuoha, Obuzor Asa.
According to the association’s publicity secretary, Comrade Precious Nwagboso “The meeting witnessed a mammoth and unprecedented turnout, with over 600 members in attendance, making it one of the most impactful gatherings in the history of the movement. The event also marked a remarkable expansion of the group, as over 60 new members were officially welcomed into ALM”
Hopealivemedia.com.ng confirmed that among the new entrants was the former Chairman of Ukwa West Local Government Area, High Chief Sylvanus Uzoma Nwaji, who declared his membership in the Asa Liberation Movement. In his address, he expressed deep admiration for the group’s unwavering advocacy, commitment, and relentless agitation for the development, unity, and progress of Asa land and beyond values which, according to him, inspired his decision to join the movement.
In a rare demonstration of love, appreciation, and selfless leadership, the President of the movement, Hon. Emeka Adiele on behalf of the leadership, generously distributed twenty (20) bags of rice and substantial cash gifts to members as part of the Christmas celebration. In turn, the noble gesture was warmly received and highly commended by members as a true reflection of inclusive and people-centred leadership.
The ALM Chairman further encouraged members to remain steadfast, courageous, and resolute in their commitment to the vision, ideals, and objectives of the Asa Liberation Movement. “The leadership reassured members that their collective sacrifices and dedication would yield tangible and lasting dividends in no distant time”
