Distinguished political actors, community leaders, clergymen, Oga, Boss, as people are celebrating you today who will remember you when seasons change, when you are no longer the boss?
Whether you like it or not, seasons will change. If you are not raising men today and not investing in anyone’s destiny, what will you be remembered for?
Don’t get carried away by the honor, accolades, titles, encomiums and the good doing of God in your life and forget to raise men; they are all ephemeral but impacting life is a legacy built to be harvested in due season.
No matter how exceptional you are on the center stage, life is in seasons. One day you will part ways for other actors to continue. One of the most tragic things in life is to once be great, once a celebrity, a former anointed man of God, once a gladiator who everyone obeyed and kowtowed to. Have it in a clearer picture that nothing is permanent, not even life itself.
Don’t lose kingdom relevance for being so carried away by your success and forget to raise men who will take after you when you are no longer active to discharge those duties you were once celebrated for.
The society today does not care how great you are if you were unable to lift men from nothing to something or if you couldn’t raise quality men that will remember you for your good deed. They may be rebellious; that’s their lot, and not a substantial reason not to impact lives.
Politicians, anointed men of God, community leaders, captains of industries, entrepreneurs, traditional leaders, engineers, and experts in various vocations, please raise men.
The affairs of this life swing like a pendulum ball without direction; it is your turn to be in a position of authority today; tomorrow, it may be the other person you neglected. What legacy are you creating? What is your impact on the lives of those around you? Have you forgotten that wealth is transferable amidst its ephemerality?
We will only be remembered by the impacts we made while at the center stage. Life happens to everyone, negatively or positively. “The life in front of you is far more important than the life behind “you”—Joel Osteen.
